Evander Kane says he`s on the mend after his injury against Tampa.

The Edmonton forward suffered a deep cut on his hand with a skate. He left the court in the second period of an NHL regular season game mentioned by contacts with fixed picks with the Lightning (3:2).

In one of the episodes, Kane fell to the ice after colliding with lightning defender Philip Myers. At this time, Tampa forward Patrick Maroon turned out to be nearby and accidentally hit Kane`s hand with a skate.

Getting better. Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. Obviously last night was a scary moment for me and I`m still in a bit of a shock.

I would like to thank all the staff in Edmonton and Tampa, as well as all the doctors and paramedics who helped me. Without all of you, I`m sure things would be much worse, and I`m truly grateful.

I won`t be back for the next game. But I will be back [in the future], looking forward to getting back on the ice to play for my favorite team along with teammates in front of our amazing fans, " Kane said on social media.
