Fans in Argentina are asking Julian Alvarez to break up with his girlfriend.


The girlfriend of the Manchester City and Argentina striker Emilia Ferrero was criticized after a video circulated on social networks in which she tried to stop a group of children from taking autographs from Alvarez.

Shortly after the video went viral, a petition called Julian Quit Mary Jane was launched on a popular website demanding that Alvarez break up with his girlfriend.


"We need to make Spider realize that Mary Jane is a toxic dummy who is ruining his reputation, and that if someone else had been in her place, this would not have happened, " writes the author of the petition.


In less than two days, the petition received more than 12, 000 signatures.


Julian Alvarez received the nickname Spider as a child because of his style of play, and later, thanks to the idea of friends, he began to celebrate goals in the style of Spider-Man, repeating the gesture with which the superhero released a web. Mary Jane in canon is Spider-Man`s girlfriend.
