The German Football Association is considering a number of candidates for the position of manager of the German national team.


Oliver Bierhoff from the post of manager of the German national team after the team did not reach the playoffs of the 2022 World Cup. He worked for the DFB for 18 years.


The organization is now looking for Bierhoff`s successor. There are no favorites yet, but several names have already been announced.


As Stern reports with reference to Sport1, the list of candidates includes former German football players Matthias Sammer, Lothar Matthaus, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Sami Khedira and Philipp Lahm, as well as the head of the Austrian national team, Ralf Rangnick.


According to Kicker, this position could also be filled by Hertha managing director Fredi Bobic.
