Luka Modric is the Footballer of the year in Croatia for a record sixth time

Real Madrid`s midfielder Luka Modric was again selected as the Footballer of the Year in Croatia. He earned this distinction for the 6th time in his career, thus equalizing the record of legendary Davor Schucker, who has the same number of awards in his showcase. The year 2017 was more than perfect for Modric. With Real`s team, he won the Primer League title, the Champions League and the World Club Championship. He also helped Croatia`s national team to qualify for the World Cup in Russia.
